Government help for childcare

Some of you may already have heard of the new Government scheme starting in 2017 whereby parents can receive a contribution to their child care from the Government. The Little House will be participating in this scheme.

The salient points are:

  • A parent can receive up to £2,000 per year towards child care or £4,000 if their child is disabled.
  • As an example, for every £8.00 that a parent pays, the Government will pay £2.00.
  • Parents must be in work and earn £115.00 per week or more.
  • Income must not exceed £100,000 per annum
